Signing of MoU between CCRAS and University of Latvia for establishment of Ayurveda chair

A Memorandum of Understanding between the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) and University of Latvia on the establishment of an academic Chair in Ayurveda was signed on Friday, 19 August 2016, at AYUSH Bhawan, New Delhi. The MoU was signed by Dr. Vaidya K.S. Dhiman, Director General, CCRAS, and Dr. Valdis Pirags, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Director of the Centre of Complementary Medicine, University of Latvia, in the presence of ShriAjit M. Sharan, Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH;Shri A.K. Ganeriwala, Joint Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH; and Ms. Stella Ankrava, First Secretary, Embassy of the Republic of Latvia. The MoU will provide a structured framework for taking forward academic and research activities in Ayurvedathrough deputation of an Ayurveda Professor to the University of Latvia.
